# How Melso works

> From invoices and questions to a reviewed draft, your approval in the app, professional filing, and the actual receipt.

Melso combines an AI agent with a professional tax service for autónomos in
Spain. The agent helps collect and organize the information; the professionals
prepare and file the returns covered by your agreement.

    Tell Melso about your activity and fiscal situation. Confirm the service
    scope before contracting. Finishing account setup does not request
    registration as an autónomo; registration has its own explicit request.

  <Step title="Bring your documents together">
    Add invoices and receipts. Optional email and Drive connections let Melso
    work with the resources you authorize. Check each saved record and correct
    missing or inaccurate details.

  <Step title="Prepare and review the return">
    Melso and its professionals prepare the included returns using your records
    and fiscal profile. If something is missing, they contact you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approve the exact version in the app">
    Open the authenticated approval page, review the draft, and authorize that
    version. A chat reply cannot replace this approval. If the draft changes,
    the new version needs your approval again.

  <Step title="Professional filing and receipt">
    Authorization opens a service case for Melso's professionals to review and
    file with Hacienda under the required authority. An unchanged authorized
    draft proceeds without another approval. Keep the actual filing reference
    and receipt when the result is recorded.

## Read the state correctly

| State | What it tells you |

| Prepared draft | There is work ready to inspect. |
| **Autorizado · en revisión** (authorized, under review) | You authorized that version and opened a case for professional review and filing. This state remains until the actual result is recorded. |
| Filed with reference and receipt | The actual external filing result has been recorded. |

An AEAT import file helps prepare a submission. Downloading it does not submit
