# Use Melso on WhatsApp

> Link your WhatsApp chat to Melso, send documents and requests, and open the app when a decision needs authenticated approval.

WhatsApp is a way to talk to your Melso agent. Ask about your records, send
documents, and follow up on work without starting a new conversation each time.

    Sign in to the app and choose Connect WhatsApp. Existing account connection
    settings are also available under Settings → My agent.

    Open WhatsApp from the connection screen and send the linking message. If
    you use the displayed code manually, send `link` followed by that code.

  <Step title="Check the company and status">
    Wait for Connected. Each chat account links to one company, so check the
    company before sending documents or work.

## Useful requests

* “Organize this supplier invoice and show me the saved expense.”
* “Summarize the expenses I have recorded this month.”
* “Find the missing invoice in the email account I connected.”

Melso may ask for more information or return a link for you to review. Invoice
issuance and authorization of tax returns take place in the authenticated app.
A “yes” in WhatsApp does not authorize a tax filing. No WhatsApp flow approves,
files or pays a fiscal return. Read [Approvals and filing](/essentials/approvals)

## Connection problems

If a code expires, create a new link in the app. If the wrong company is
connected, move or disconnect the connection in Settings before sending more
work. Linking WhatsApp gives Melso this conversation; it does not give access
to all your other WhatsApp chats.

The [technical WhatsApp Task guide](/concepts/whatsapp-tasks) is only for existing
invited Agents companies; it is not another route for the autónomo fiscal service.
