Ask the person to authorize the exact fiscal document version in the signed-in app. A professional prepares and files included returns after authorization; AI does not file alone. A prepared file or approval receipt is not evidence of filing. Never claim completion from an accepted Task or Run. Keep credentials out of chat and logs. # Connect ChatGPT

> Add the Melso remote MCP server through ChatGPT’s custom integration flow.

Use an account and workspace that permit custom MCP servers. ChatGPT’s available integration controls depend on account access and workspace policy.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Plugins">
    Go to [Plugins in ChatGPT](https://chatgpt.com/plugins), select **+**, then **Add custom MCP server**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the server details">
    Name it **Melso**, add a description, and set the MCP server URL to `https://melso.ai/api/mcp`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure OAuth">
    Use the server’s OAuth authentication. Sign in to Melso, choose a company, and review the requested access. Continue through ChatGPT’s integration review.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create and review">
    Select **Create as plugin**, inspect the discovered tools, and finish setup. In a new conversation, use the `@` picker to select the integration.
  </Step>
</Steps>

These steps follow OpenAI’s [current custom MCP connection guide](https://developers.openai.com/apps-sdk/deploy/connect-chatgpt). If your workspace does not show this flow, ask its administrator whether custom integrations are enabled.

Follow [Try a first read](/mcp/connect#try-a-first-read): “Read my Melso company context without changing anything.” If the catalog changes, refresh the integration’s metadata from Plugins. Melso approvals that require a person still happen in the signed-in Melso app.
