# memories

> Input, output and examples for the memories MCP tool.

<Info>Melso Agents is available only internally or by private invitation. Agents-specific features require existing access. For the autónomo fiscal service, see [Get started](/essentials/quickstart).</Info>

This Melso user's long-term memories; always the authenticated person, with no container or user argument. search when you know what to look for, list when you do not, save a fact they asked you to remember (static=true for durable traits such as name), forget a fact they asked you to drop by its exact text. Each action accepts only its own fields (\* required): search(query\*); list(page); save(content\*, static); forget(content\*).

**Availability:** Autónomo / Empresa / Agents invitation / OAuth-only.

**Catalog:** Core (`tools/list`).

The live catalog is authoritative: company type, membership, plan, connected apps and execution context can narrow this contract. [Understand access](/mcp/permissions).

## Output

Matching memories, the saved memory, or the result of forgetting a memory. Memories belong to the authenticated person.

The result uses MCP `content` blocks; JSON payloads are encoded in text and may also appear in `structuredContent`. Check `isError` before reading a success payload. The server does not currently declare an `outputSchema`, so treat additional fields as extensible. [Result handling](/mcp/results).
