409 if a definition was saved but did not activate. Reads enforce Area access. Resource references are pointers, not credential storage.

Area writes require an Agents company and owner/admin definition-write permission. Admin company keys can perform only their allowlisted Area routes.tasks keys can list Areas, search Areas and read one Area; they cannot read resource lists or edit resources.
Add instructions for reusable guidance and resource pointers for authorized repositories or apps. Grant access only to the people who need it. Inspect the returned definition receipt: a saved edit that could not activate can return 409.
