The fiscal calendar
The calendar comes from your fiscal profile and your records. For each form it shows the period, the tax administration, the filing deadline and the last day to pay by direct debit, for example Domiciliación hasta… · presentación hasta… (Direct debit until, filing until).- A deadline that falls on a weekend or a public holiday moves to the next working day.
- Past deadlines stay on the list while the form is not filed.
- Nothing is due until your activity is registered.
Returns Melso calculates
Which of these appear on your calendar depends on your profile: your tax
territory, your tax regime and whether you file monthly or quarterly.
The 111 covers withholdings on professionals. Payroll is not part of Melso, so
its work boxes stay empty.
Forms that are reminders
Everything else your profile requires appears as a reminder with its deadline. Examples:- The annual income tax return (form 100) for autónomos. Melso prepares it as a separate case. See The annual income tax return.
- Corporate tax (forms 200 and 202), the annual accounts and the company books, for empresas.
- Monthly VAT and monthly withholding filers, and the simplified and modules regimes.
- The forms of the foral administrations (Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, Navarra), the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.
Differences by company kind
For an autónomo the tax service starts on its own when the Pro or Plus plan is
paid and the profile is one Melso calculates in full: registered, in the common
territory, under general VAT and direct estimation, and filing VAT quarterly.
Other profiles are reviewed by the Melso team first.
Estimates
Without an active tax service, a return shows as Estimación (Estimate). An estimate has an amount only. It has no boxes, no approval and no import file. The page explains why and offers the next step: Activar gestoría (Activate the tax service), Revisar servicio fiscal (Review tax service) or Ver planes (See plans). See Plans and service scope.Review a return
Open a return and choose Ver casillas (View boxes) to see each Casilla (box), its Concepto (description) and its Importe (amount). The result reads:
Before you authorize, read the warnings:
- Hay datos por revisar (There is data to review). Melso lists what to check, such as a line with no tax ID or expenses whose VAT rate was not read.
- Incluye… gastos sin confirmar como deducibles (It includes expenses not confirmed as deductible). Review them in Expenses and income first.
Return states
Autorizado is not Presentado. An authorized return has not been filed
yet.
Authorize a return
1
Open the return
Open it from Impuestos, or follow the approval link your Melso agent or
a connected assistant gave you. The link opens the signed-in app.
2
Check the boxes and the warnings
Read the figures. Fix anything wrong in your records before you go on.
3
Slide to authorize
Use Desliza para presentar (Slide to submit), or Aceptar y presentar
(Accept and submit). The buttons say presentar, but they record your
authorization; they do not file the return. The app confirms with
Autorizado · en revisión (Authorized, in review), and Melso’s
professionals then review and file it.
If the version changes
Your authorization covers one version. If a professional sends you a new version, the earlier approval no longer counts and the app asks you again: Hay una versión más reciente. Revísala antes de aprobar. (There is a newer version. Review it before approving.) You can cancel the case before it is filed. Nothing is filed, the return goes back to a draft, and you can send it again when it is ready.Follow the case in Gestiones
Gestiones lists the cases Melso’s professionals handle for you.Is my return filed?
A return is filed when the professional records the filing with three things: the reference, the filing date and at least one receipt. You then see Presentado. Aquí tienes el justificante. (Filed. Here is the receipt.) in the case, with the Referencia (reference) and the Fecha de presentación (filing date). The return moves to Presentados with the state Presentado. None of these is proof of filing:- A calculated draft or an estimate.
- Your authorization, or the Autorizado state.
- A downloaded import file.
- A message from an assistant saying it is done.
Filing is not paying. The case reminds you: Presentar no es pagar: el pago
sigue su plazo. (Filing is not paying: the payment follows its own
deadline.) Melso does not pay a return for you.
If your figures change after filing
The return shows Tus datos han cambiado desde la presentación (Your data changed since filing) with the amount it would be now. Melso reviews whether a supplementary or a corrected return is needed.AEAT import files
For the 303, 130, 111 and 115, Descargar borrador (Download draft) saves the return as an AEAT import file. It is a plain text file named after the form and the period, such as303_2026_3T.txt.
The file needs your NIF and fiscal name in the profile. The other calculated
returns have no import file yet.
The file is preparation. Downloading it does not authorize or file the return,
and for a return Melso files you do not need it.
The annual income tax return
During the campaign, an autónomo sees the card Declaración de la Renta with the button Preparar mi Renta (Prepare my income tax return). Melso’s professionals prepare the draft and you approve it before it is filed. A company has no income tax return, so the card does not appear for an empresa. With an AI assistant
A connected assistant can read your calendar, explain a return and give you the approval link. It cannot authorize, file or pay. See Use cases and thetaxes tool.
