Every person in a Melso company has one role: owner, admin or member. The role decides what they can see and what they can approve.

Autónomo: you are the only person

An autónomo’s company has only its owner. It cannot add people, whatever its plan allows, and its settings have no Miembros (Members) tab. You hold every permission on this page.

Empresa: owner, admins and members

A company can have several people, within what its plan allows. The owner or an admin invites them from Configuración, in the Miembros tab, with Invitar miembro (Invite member). The invited person receives an email or a WhatsApp link to join. Nobody can be invited as an owner. Only an owner can give the owner role to someone else, and a company always keeps at least one owner.

The two decisions only the owner makes

Issuing an invoice and authorizing a tax return are made in the owner’s name, so only the owner can make them. Both happen in the signed-in web app.
  • A team member can prepare an invoice draft. The owner issues it. See Invoicing.
  • Anyone in the company can read a calculated return. The owner authorizes it. See Taxes and the fiscal calendar.
An admin or a member who opens an approval link can read the page but cannot complete the approval.

Access for an AI assistant

A connected assistant acts as the person who connected it, in the one company they chose. It never has more access than that person:
  • Any person in the company can connect an assistant and use the record tools their plan allows.
  • The fiscal_profile tool is listed only for the owner or an admin.
  • No assistant can issue an invoice or authorize a return, whoever connected it.
Each person sees their own connections under Configuración, in the MCP tab, in Asistentes conectados (Connected assistants), and can remove one with Desconectar (Disconnect). See Permissions and approvals.

WhatsApp and several companies

A WhatsApp chat works with one company at a time. If you belong to two or more companies, Perfil (Profile) has Chats con Melso, where you choose which company each chat works with. See Use Melso on WhatsApp.
